Returns policy

At TCL Tanker Parts, we are committed to providing high-quality products and excellent service. However, we understand that there may be occasions where you need to return an item. This Returns Policy outlines the conditions under which returns and refunds are processed and applies to all purchases made through our website, email, or telephone orders.

1. Order cancellation
  • You may cancel your order before dispatch by notifying us via phone, email, or post.
  • If your order has already been dispatched, you must follow the returns process outlined below.
  • For orders with multiple deliveries, the cancellation period begins upon receipt of the first shipment.
  • Custom-made or made-to-order items cannot be cancelled once order has been accepted.
2. Return eligibility

We accept returns of unwanted items under the following conditions:

  • You must notify us within 5 business days of receiving the goods.
  • Items must be unused, in original packaging, and in resalable condition.
  • Items to be returned must be faulty

Customers are responsible for arranging and covering the cost of return shipping, unless otherwise agreed. Upon warranty confirmation shipping costs will be reimbursed.

A restocking fee may apply, depending on the condition and resale value of the returned goods.

Non-Returnable Items:

  • Custom-made or made-to-order items
  • Items that have been used or installed
  • Goods that have been damaged due to improper handling, misuse, or incorrect installation
  • Goods showing normal wear and tear
  • Goods already dispatched except for faulty items
  • Goods which are not suitable for return due to health protection or hygiene reasons where the product packaging has been opened after delivery
3. Returning Faulty goods

If you receive a faulty or damaged item, please contact us within 5 business days of delivery. Promotional items and free gifts must also be returned.

  • Inspection Required: We will assess the fault before processing any refund or replacement.
  • Refund or Replacement: If the item is confirmed to be faulty, we will arrange a repair, replacement, or full refund at no cost to you.
  • Manufacturer’s Warranty: If the item is covered under a manufacturer’s warranty, we may direct you to the manufacturer for further assistance.
  • If the fault is due to improper use, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear, the return may be refused or additional charges may apply.
4. Returns process

To initiate a return, please follow these steps:

  • Provide your order number, item details, and reason for return. We will review your return and confirm if your return is eligible and provide return instructions including any additional actions required in case of hazardous goods or whether manufacturer needs to be contacted directly.
  • Securely package the item in original packaging and include a copy of your invoice and return the item.
  • Customers are responsible for return shipping unless the return is due to a fault or error on our part.
  • All returns will be inspected upon arrival.
  • Refunds or replacements will be processed within 14 days.
3. Refunds & Processing Times

Refunds will only be issued after inspection confirms that the returned item meets the eligibility criteria. Approved refunds will be processed within 14 days of receiving the returned goods. Deductions may be made for returned goods showing signs of unreasonable use (for these purposes, unreasonable use includes handling the goods beyond what is necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods).

Refunds will be issued using the original payment method.

Delivery charges are non-refundable, except in cases where the return is due to faulty or incorrect goods.

7. Warranty Claims

Certain products may be covered under a manufacturer’s warranty. If a product develops a fault outside of the standard returns period of 14 days (all faults must be reported within 3 days of receiving the goods), the manufacturer’s warranty terms will apply. TCL Tanker Parts will assist in facilitating the warranty claim where possible, but the manufacturer’s decision will be final.

(e) the goods differ from their description or the goods specification as a result of changes made to ensure they comply with applicable statutory or regulatory standards.

13.4 Except as provided in this clause 13, we will have no liability in respect of the goods’ failure. In any case, any liability, arising for any reason relating to the goods failure, will be limited up to the value of the goods sold.
